SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a standard protocol for achieving Single Sign-On (SSO).
Once a user logs into 「Chemican SDS Management」 with SAML, they can access it without entering authentication information again.
*Note: SAML authentication is a separate paid feature. Please contact your sales representative.
Setup Method:
Our representative will hold a meeting with the person in charge of your company's information systems department to configure the necessary information for SAML setup.
Logging In After SAML Authentication Setup:
Once you log in with SAML, an account will be automatically generated and linked within the logged-in tenant.
At that time, the email address and full name will be automatically reflected in the account on Chemican.
Login Procedure (Example: Microsoft Entra SSO)
- Access the 「Chemican SDS Management」 login page and click "SAML LOGIN HERE".
- Enter the email address to log in with and click "LOGIN".
- You will be redirected to the login screen of the connected SSO.
Enter the required information (such as password). - You may be asked to confirm whether to maintain the signed-in state.
Select your preference to complete the login to 「Chemican SDS Management」.
Notes:
- Once SAML authentication is enabled, you will no longer be able to log in using the regular login method.
- The initial role for users logged in via SAML will be "Administrator" role.
- Enabling SAML authentication disables the following functions:
- New user invitation via "ADD MEMBER" on the "User List" page.
- Bulk new user invitation via "CSV UPLOAD" on the "User List" page (bulk editing is still possible).
- Last Name, First Name, Middle Name on the "My Page".
- "Password Reset" on the "User List" page.
- "Delete this User" on the "User List" page.
- "Use Authenticator App" and "Use SMS authentication" for "two-factor authentication".
- All two-factor authentication information set prior to SAML setup will be invalidated.
