You can collectively edit items linked to registered SDS using a CSV file.
*Note: The bulk editing function for SDS using a CSV file can be used by users with Administrator or Editor role.
Items That Can Be Changed:
- SDS Name
- Risk Assessment Date
- Confirmation Date with Supplier
- Department
- Tag
- Product Code
- Person In Charge
Steps:
- Open the "SDS LIST" page and click the checkboxs on the left end of the corresponding SDSs.
- Click "BULK OPERATIONS" and then select "BULK EDIT WITH CSV".
- Click "Download a CSV file for bulk editing from the selected SDS" to obtain the CSV file for editing.
- Edit the downloaded CSV file using Excel or similar software.
*Note: To account for users with the same name, the Person In Charge is represented by the Person In Charge Email Address (担当ユーザーメールアドレス) in the CSV file. You can edit the Person In Charge by adding or deleting email addresses in the Person In Charge Email Address (担当ユーザーメールアドレス) column of the CSV file. - Click "ADD FILE", upload the edited CSV file, and once the upload is complete, click "EXECUTE" in the bottom right corner.
- You can review the editing content on the confirmation screen.
If there are no issues, clicking "EXECUTE" will proceed with the changes.
*Note: Please be aware that the operation cannot be undone after execution. - Once the correction process is complete, you will be notified via a completion email sent to your registered account email address.
After checking the email, you can reload Chemican to confirm the updates.
If the Uploaded CSV File Has Errors:
If an error occurs in the uploaded CSV file, the affected row and error details will be displayed, and the execute button will not appear.
Please check and correct the errors, and then upload the file again.
Notes:
- The only supported file format for upload is CSV.
- SDS not listed in the CSV file will not be automatically deleted.
- The maximum number of SDS files that can be edited at one time is 10,000.
- Only users with Administrator role can edit SDS belonging to other departments.
- When editing the CSV file, character corruption may occur due to character codes that do not support Chinese, depending on the specifications and version of the software you use (such as Excel).
In this case, please try changing the character code to "UTF-8" to see if it resolves the issue.
